20 Domain Name Is Currently Set Through Dhcp Update

This is currently not supported by the microsoft dhcp server.

Domain name is currently set through dhcp. In windows 2000 group policy has no mechanism for distributing the domain suffix search list. A canonical name record specifes that a domain name is an alias for another domain the canonical domain. The netsh utility has no command to set or to change the domain suffix search list.

Uci add dhcp cname uci set dhcp. The difference between this option and historic use of the domain name option for the same ends is that this option is encoded in rfc1035 compressed labels on the wire. Do not forward requests that cannot be answered by public name servers.
